Every other week, there will be a post on the class website as well as the sample student site that explains the requirements for your book blog. You will write your book blog on your "Book Blog" page for the world to see! Each new book blog is to be written above the most recent book blog, so that the newest blog is on the top.

Locate FIVE direct quotations in your novel that illustrate different “tones”. Underline or highlight the vocabulary that is used to show this tone. Tell what tone is being used. For each quote, explain why this tone was being used at that time in the novel.
Example:
1. “I had spent a tremendous amount of time attempting to make that apartment feel like a home. In vain.” The tone illustrated in these sentences is one of frustration. At the time Sarah, the main character, was trying to put back together the pieces after the SS came and took away her neighbor. She was frustrated because she knew there was no way for her life to ever be the same again.
